【もう一度、英語をやり直そう】英会話日記(10/14) ～本八幡getgo

すっかり風邪引いてしまいました。
この投稿よんだいただいた、皆様も注意してくださいね。

先週の復習と今週の宿題です。

Josh先生は先週仕事休んでパラワンに行っていたそうです。
よく海外旅行に行くのですが、よく金と時間があるな、と感心します（しかも若いし）。
しかし、旅行先のお話聞くのが結構楽しみです。

パラワンって、すごくきれいなところみたいで、一回行ってみたいものです。
ただし、ちょっとお金がかかるそうです。

【今週覚えたよく使う言葉】
How was it ? 　　　どうだった？

【内容】　Passing on Requests 　
人に伝える言葉を学びます。
例えば、ＳさんがＮさんに今度一緒に飲もうといってたって　というような感じです。
Mr S asked Mr N to drink together.

※Josh先生が日本語って「～って」っていうのは便利といってたので、これを使います

(1) Orders John to Sally(ジョンがサリーに命令する場合）
Go away 　　　　　　　　Josn told Sally to go away. (ジョンがサリーに出て行けといったって）
Rest for a while　　　　John told her to rest for a while.
You'd better not yell at me !  John told her not to yell at him. (どなるなといったって）

(2) Request(リクエストする場合）
 Can you put out your cigarette?　　　　　　John asked Sally to put out her cigarette.
                                                                ジョンはサリーにタバコを消すようにいたって
Would you mind lending me some money.   John asked Sally to lend him some money.

(3) Suggestions(提案する場合）
 You should buy that watch.              John told Sally to buy that watch.
If I were you, I'd study Japanese.       John told Sally to study Japanese.
※尚、toldの代わりにsaid toも使えますが、文章に相手(Sally）を含めることができません。
　　　例）　Stand up !
        　〇　John told Sally to stand ulp.
          〇　John said to stand up.
          ×　John said to Can Sally to stand up.

 


【宿題】 １～７のPassing on Requests 　を作成
1. Sit down.
      ⇒Shana told Josh to sit down.

2.  Can you help me?
      ⇒　 Shana asked Josh to help her.

3. Have a seat
      ⇒Shana told Josh to have a seat.
4.  Would you mind passing me the salt?
      ⇒Shana asked Josh to pass her the salt.
5.  you should see a doctor.
      ⇒Shana told Josh to see a doctor.
6. You'd better not be late.
      ⇒Shana told Josh not to be late.
7. If I were you, I'd leave now.
      ⇒Shana told Josh to leave now.
